Our panel of experts and parents are planning to share years of experience with kids of all ages.

Meet the panelists

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Mattie specializes in writing about outdoor adventures and education/parenting, with more than 10 years of experience.

When she's not writing, she's an early childhood Forest School teacher in Boulder. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Missouri and a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver.

If she’s not writing, teaching, or snowboarding, she’s probably running with her dog, Imogene.


Stasia Stockwell is a lifelong skier who has spent an average of 50 days skiing each season since she could walk. She has taken classes on all-mountain skiing techniques and has her AIARE Level 1 avalanche safety certification. Her work in the industry spans from testing and reviewing skis for Backpacker Magazine to working on ski videos for Atomic skis. 


Chris Hrenko is a lifelong snowboarder and skier based in Vermont with a day job in outdoor industry communications. Along with his wife and daughters (ages 3 and 7), he's been riding the highs and lows of little kid skiing for the past five seasons.
