I am a long-distance hiker and a Special Education teacher. I’ve picked up some scrambling skills in the past few years to extend my outdoor opportunities and there is no place I would rather be than outside.

I write articles that are entry points for people to get into hiking, backpacking, and camping. My hope is to open doors for anyone interested in getting outside, but especially Spanish speakers. 

I’ve written about solo hiking as well as advocacy for the national trail system on Colorado Public Radio.
