Micah Leinbach is a guide, coach, and educator. He balances his time between supporting learning and culture programs at high-growth startups, and helping individuals and organizations spend more time outside. As the executive director of the Bus for Outdoor Access & Teaching, he partners with community leaders around the country to “move their mission outside” on a wilderness program on wheels.

Years of guiding on a budget have taught Micah how to find, maintain, fix, and enhance all kinds of gear and equipment with limited resources. He has spent over 500 days in the field and guided programs for over 1,500 students. His trips have taken him from -55 degree mountain blizzards to dry desert canyons, off-trail through redwood forests, and down frigid Canadian rapids. Highlights include time spent tracking wolves and analyzing their kills in America’s least visited national park, a National Geographic appearance featuring only his hands and the big red bus, and any chance he gets to kayak surf.
